Amanda Ake

I graduated in May 2017 from Oglethorpe University with a B.A. in English and Comparative Literature. During my Junior year, I had the privilege to be accepted as an Associate Member to New College at Oxford University, where I wrote contemporary fiction and studied the mythical archetypes found in the literature of J.R.R. Tolkien.

I currently work as the social media manager for Land of a Thousand Hills Midtown, a specialty coffee shop in Atlanta. I have experience with various social media management platforms, as well as experience crafting engaging web content for local businesses and editing press releases. Additionally, my writing has been published on several online platforms, such as Assay: A Journal of Nonfiction Studies and The Financial Diet.

To me, words are powerful tools. Writing is how I communicate most effectively, express myself most creatively, and connect on a deep level with other people. Ultimately, however, I am an artist and a storyteller. I am deeply passionate about consistently looking for new ways to craft the best content imaginable and to construct powerful, persuasive narratives.
